A fortnight before America’s invasion of Iraq Oddy spent a week inside the Pentagon. Granted wide-ranging access, he wandered the corridors, war rooms and offices with his 5x4 camera. This photograph of a painting of a fighter-jet plunging towards a polished table, shows the very meeting room where, only 18 months before Oddy’s visit, American Airlines Flight 77 was deliberately flown into the Pentagon.
